The PIKOM Chinese New Year Dinner 2026 was a memorable evening where tradition and progress came together in celebration.
With 400 guests in attendance, the event brought together industry leaders, innovators, partners, and stakeholders from across Malaysia’s technology ecosystem.
The evening featured traditional lion dance performances and the appearance of 财神爷 (God of Wealth), symbolising prosperity and positive momentum for the year ahead. Guests also participated in 捞生 (lou sang), accompanied by ten wishes to usher in a year of collaboration, growth, and shared success.

A key highlight of the evening was the celebration of PIKOM’s 40th anniversary, marking four decades of shaping and advancing Malaysia’s digital ecosystem.
As the National Technology Association of Malaysia, PIKOM’s continued leadership and advocacy remain central to the nation’s digital transformation journey.

The dinner was further distinguished by remarks from the Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, who reinforced the importance of stronger collaboration between government and industry.
He emphasised that innovation is a collective effort, requiring alignment, partnership, and shared responsibility in building an inclusive and forward-looking digital society.
