Malaysia Has Five Years to Get AI Right. PIKOM LEAD 2025 Faced That Reality.

Technology & Innovation Conference

PIKOM LEAD 2025 brought together industry leaders, technology partners, and policymakers for a forward-looking exchange on Malaysia’s digital and artificial intelligence (AI) ambitions.

The conference served as a key platform for dialogue on AI adoption, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, highlighting how public and private sector collaboration will be essential in building a competitive and resilient digital economy.

National Vision for AI Competitiveness

One of the central highlights of PIKOM LEAD 2025 was the keynote address by YB Gobind Singh Deo, who shared insights into Malaysia’s AI Innovation Framework and the country’s ambition to become an AI Nation by 2030.
He emphasised that Malaysia is entering a decisive five-year window to strengthen AI capabilities, scale innovation, and develop talent in order to remain competitive at the regional and global level.

The address underscored the importance of readiness, adaptability, and long-term strategic planning as AI continues to reshape industries and economic structures.

Industry Insights & Technology Showcase

The event featured a diverse lineup of speakers and exhibitors who explored real-world applications of AI, cybersecurity, and digital trust. These sessions provided practical perspectives on how organisations can prepare for increasingly complex digital environments while balancing innovation, governance, and security.
